To be the Queen coloring a strong democracy has its price. While the citizens may speak and write as they please, the Queen has no right to respond or defend herself. coloring can to some degree speak through her actions. By including drag queens in the Orange exhibition, Queen pages pulls the talents and creativity of the gay underground into the open. The drag queens speak through their own appearance, a costly and time-consuming language, not generally recognized, but understood and appreciated by Queen Beatrix. Equality does apparently not apply to the queens of coloring - whether royal or drag.

If a limousine stops in an upward slope, the exit can hardly be conducted with style, a situation that provokes irritation served with a smile. Well outside, the Queen shakes hands smiling politely, before interposing coloring pages a couple of well-chosen words with a short radiant smile, which effectively calms down a nervous host. The shyness and silence of others are confronted with small talk and matching smiles. At a market, awkwardly bent forward to reach the hand of a very old man across the table, her smile is pure enjoyment. The man is so happy to visit the Queen that he can't halt stroking her hand.

The Royal Palace coloring page Dam Square looks deserted. This is where the Amsterdammers congregate to celebrate major royal events, usually in peace and harmony, occasionally disturbed by smoke bombs and republican protests. "What do you think of the Queen?" Such a question produces a funny expression on people's faces, as if they were considering whether you are teasing them or are just stupid. On the front page of papers and magazines, there is no gossip about the royals.

The exhibition theme does have a historical background in that the merchants and patricians of Amsterdam tolerated no interference in their affairs, not even from the Nassau rulers. The home of the Historical Museum is identical to the beautiful buildings of the city's old orphanage, well-to-do to reach via the walking street of Kalverstraat. This must be the optimal place to approach an Orange-Nassau, just by drawing on the knowledge of the museum. They have surely cooperated thoroughly with their primary document who is also a skilled communicator - Queen Beatrix.

The Queen's foremost duty is may be to act as a national symbol, which she does to perfection as far as I could judge. The sheer mention of the Netherlands, Holland or anything Dutch never fails to produce an image of Queen Beatrix in my mind - fresh, smiling, the volume of her hair suggesting the wind had filled and formed it, her general appearance becoming softer with the years. Arriving in Amsterdam, I am convinced that the Queen will smile at me from every public building but, alas, she is nowhere to be seen.

Royal Approach

Orange might not be the favorite color of the Amsterdammers normally, but on Queensday they completely go orange - any surplus stock of orange material, paint and other coloring come into use - on bodies, faces and hair, even mixed drinks and the water of the fountains take on a shade of orange on this national holiday, another side of which's garage sales at every house.

Queens of Amsterdam

Texts and pictures, complemented by any number of relevant objects, do produce an impression of the Queen. Much more interesting though - when it comes to creating your own image of her - are the live pictures on old film strips. Her hats, preferably flat ones, prove to be more than work of art; they are part of her expression. When cutting silk ribbons, she seems to prefer huge hats allowing her to reveal how little amused she is. On the whole, her smiles come easily, producing them a flexible instrument.

The next picture takes me by surprise - an over-elegant drag queen sipping coffee at CafeRouge in the street of Amstel, impersonating Queen Beatrix of course. The drag adorns the exhibition folder as well, an unmistakable signal that the Queen appreciates the admiration and respect with which the gays regard her. She can always count on them, and in her own subtle way, she here sends the entire gay community her recognition, thereby acting as an example.

Live Pictures

People talk about the Queen in terms of the work she does - which they seem pleased with - and in economic terms, thus acknowledging those who find the royal rule an extravagance. These things are separated: a favorite Queen on one side, on the other discussions about monarchy versus republic, while personal feelings for the Orange-Nassau family remain private. Queen Beatrix knows how to handle a latent skepticism - she smiles! It's her trademark, clearly demonstrated on posters appearing in shop windows: "Amsterdam and the House of Orange", a temporary exhibition at the Historisch Museum.

Two centuries of monarchy emerge, from 1890 dominated by ladies - before Beatrix and Juliana there was Wilhelmina. The female chain will be broken by Willem-Alexander. All of a sudden, the order of succession is disturbed by the image of a fourth queen, standing tall and erect outside Cafe Rouge, where she enjoys a cigarette join togetherwith her dressers. Although tall and strong, she looks weightless in a full-length creation of orange chiffon, with a hairstyle copying her idol's. As to fashion, Queen Beatrix surely picks up inspiration from creative and pioneering drags.

The exhibition poster is a hit in white and orange; a triumphant Queen rejoices in the warm tributes, wearing what must be her favorite hat shape, the pill-box. She leads me through a festively decorated portal, lets me proceed under pictures hanging from above - where she pays respect to her parents and sisters, before introducing her oldest son, Willem-Alexander, with a scene that people love - the Crown Prince kissing his bride Maxima on the palace balcony at Dam Square.

The exhibition naturally focuses on the past - historical moments, celebrations in the royal family, also the controversial wedding between a law-educated Beatrix and a German diplomat, Claus von Amsberg. Smoke bombs and protests complete the pictures, also that of the 1980 coronation - housing before crowning, they demanded on that occasion. Queen Beatrix, since 2002 a widow, resides in The Hague, the seat of government. Amsterdam is still the capital city, a status defined in the Constitution of 1983.

Celebrations might be extra lively here in 2008, in that Queen Beatrix from the House of Orange turns 70. Her broad smile reveals that those years have settled as charming wrinkles on her face, set off by red lips and green eyelids. She is about the exclusively western monarch with several political power intact, also the power to continue with her late mother Juliana's birthday, April 30th, as Queensday, her own birthday on January 31st being a bit cold for outdoor partying.

What I learned was, if I wanted to supply my customer with a top quality logo. I needed to initiate with something of value. Even if it meant having to hire an artist to recreate the drawing, it was worth the effort. Having a quality image to work from made coloring the difference in the world when digitizing the design.

Why Your Artwork Is Garbage

Most of our clients (and I suspect yours too) dont realize that you may not be able to achieve the same look, as compared to what they see on a print out. Depending upon the application an image might need to be altered to allow for a better representation. Of course we shouldnt expect our customers to understand this matter, after all thats why they come to us.

Youve heard the phrase garbage in, garbage out! Its also true when they say What You See Is What You Get! The acronym's WYSIWYG!

One of the coloring page helpful tips I received early on in my career was to suggest my customer return to their printer (person or company who created their business cards or letterhead) for crisp, sharp artwork. Knowing that if they had a business card in hand, someone would must have the pages artwork on file somewhere within their means. By suggesting to my customer to have their printer forward me the design, it would usually eliminate us having to clean up the image unnecessarily.

I suggest to you, by starting with optimal quality in your artwork, youll avoid putting out the garbage!

Having been in the digitizing logo business now for many twenty plus years, Ive seen virtually all kinds and types of artwork. coloring all want and hope for the camera ready artwork to show up on our desk or computer files. Fact is, we rarely see a picture perfect image and are usually expected to perform miracles on the fuzzy or pixilated design. Even with the update software, some artwork can present a challenge to make ready for certain applications.

When we first started out in the logo business, the exclusively artist was myself. Telling it like it is the best drawing I ever did was in my first dot-to-dot coloring book! When it comes to free hand drawing, I look to others with the God given talent. The solution? I paid a visit to our local college and also phoned the high schools in our area, looking for artists. There were many each people I met through this process and I still use two of them in my existing business today! Talk about a gold mine!! These two individuals have spurred on numerous projects and helped grow our company to numerous different levels, developing thousands of coloring page art images and logos for the trade.

Do use foundation, but my suggestion is to use the mineral powders. First, use a concealer on the spots that need covering, and then use a brush to add the mineral powder all over coloring pages face. I started using pages last year and I have never had more compliments. It is natural, yet covers. I LOVE this stuff! (I use Sheer Cover, which is in my links, but you could try another if you 'd like ).

Don't wear vibrant and/or wildly contrasting colors. They are too aging.

Don'ts:

Don't wear a heavy, red, matte lipstick. Yikes, I just think Grandma.

Dos:

Makeup For the Fiftylicious!

Mascara is a MUST! Use it generously on top lashes, and slightly more sparingly on lower lashes. If you find it ends up "creeping" under your eyes, modify formulas until you find one that doesn't.

Do wear a long-lasting lipstick, and then apply a soft, clear semi-gloss over it throughout the day to coloring lips moist and supple.

Do keep eye shadow colors in a more natural coloring page Browns, taupe, deep plum, khaki, or a very, very subtle blue (a deep shade) are all fine - but keep your hand light!

Eyeliner is fabulous also, but play with the look until you find one that doesn't close your eyes in. Lower liner is tricky; use very, very sparingly and use lighter colors. Ask your friends to be truly honest with you and tell you if you need a coloring Or, better yet, go to a makeup counter for an update.

Ladies, you can look better. You just must make adjustments to your skin and face. Change is NOT a bad thing, it is a NEW thing. Embrace it and look great!

Don't, for the love of all that is sacred, draw on your eyebrows. If yours are thinning, or you have over plucked, just use a brush and an eyebrow colored powder. If they are very thin, you will need to use a brow pencil in small, short strokes; then cover with the colored powder. I can promise you that it is aging and distracting to have one thin, drawn-on line.

As we age, our skin texture and coloring changes. The products and methods we use on our face should reflect those changes. Following are many tips and tricks to help you look your sexy best every day.

Do select natural rose, peach, and coral-toned colors that enhance your skin tone. Usually, the best formula's one that is moisture rich or cream-based.

Don't use pearlized or shimmery makeup; it exaggerates the changing texture of your skin (aka lines and wrinkles).

The Benefits pages Homeschool Cooking

Another idea is to set aside a many part of the day for literature discussion. You and your students can prepare a snack while discussing the book your kids are reading. It's a good way to get them used to discussing books.

If you've taken on the challenge of homeschooling your children, you probably already know the importance of finding interesting as well as unique ways to teach them new concepts and to give them a chance to practice old ones. But you may not have realized the answer is as close as your family kitchen. Below are many of the benefits your little students could get from learning via cooking.

Art and Cooking
One of the different nice things about the kitchen is that it's a great place for kids to show off their creativity. Children can use traditional food items, coloring pages as uncooked macaroni, to create artwork.
They can also make pancakes to look like a butterfly coloring page a mouse. Ask your kids to create a sugar cookie then decorate it so that it serves as a model of a human cell.

When your kids are reading stories about children in different lands, find recipes for the foods that kids coloring in those countries. You can create a whole unit study revolving around a foreign country, and cooking up the native food is a educational winner.

You can design experiments that show what happens to cookies if you leave out the baking soda or the flour. My daughter got first hand experience with this thing last weekend when we ran out of flour and I was lazy to run to the store. Pancake add is not a great substitute.

Literature and Cooking
Another fun way to use cooking in your homeschooling lessons is by incorporating it into your studies of literature. For many years, schools across the country have been serving green coloring page and ham to celebrate the Dr. Seuss classic. Your child could prepare the same thing with a little bit of food coloring.

Math and Cooking
Anyone who could cook can do coloring - it's that simple. So much of what you do in the kitchen involves doing math and that's why kids can learn through following simple recipes. Take, for example, the dreaded math topic of adding fractions. When kids must learn it by looking at numbers on a page, it can be difficult. However, if you decide you're going to make a double batch of chocolate chip cookies and all of those ingredients (most of which are written as fractions) need to be doubled, your son or daughter can find great motivation in learning how to add those fractions together. They wouldn't want to come up short on the chocolate chips, would they?
